I made a recovery disk, then did a clean install of Vista using the OS disk that came with the laptop. Now I put the recovery disk in the tray and I have to select something but I don't know what. Do I have to install them one at a time? I have no idea what any of those are.

    Same happened to me.

    Go to www.gateway.com.

    download the drivers from there.

be sure to manually plug in your Ethernet cable for internet access.

you have to install them one at a time. as a general rule you always install the chipset drivers first then video card, then the rest. As for the applications, install only what you need.
