I havent used hdmi on the laptop in a while so today i tried to but now i get no audio. Before it was working normal. The sound is set to Digital Output Device (HDMI Out) like normal but i cannot get any audio on the tv. The only thing i have changed is the nvidia drivers to 175.75.

Could the video card drivers cause this problem?

Check the drivers again before assuming it's the hardware.

    1: click control panel
    2: click sound
    3: you should see speakers/hdmi out/spdif out
4: set hdmi out as default sound
    5: close out
6: restart your program which is using hdmi output
and your sound should work...key word *should*

now if it didn't or you do not see hdmi, then you will need to reinstall the sound card software.
