I've searched about this topic with Advanced Search mode on this website, but I couldn't find the answer. I see a lot of people using T9300 on their Gateway P-68XXFX laptops, and I was wondering why people aren't using higher end processors. I don't know if the price difference was that big last year, but only really difference I thought of was the FSB speed. T9300 has 800MHz FSB speed while T9400 has 1066MHz FSB speed. The difference in price was not even much, so I was wondering if the max FSB speed these laptops' mobo support is 800MHz. Please help me with this. And I'm about to replace the CPU of this laptop. Can anyone recommend anything better than T9300 with relatively similar price if this laptop only support 800MHz? Thanks again and sorry for being too wordy and not making much sense...

You cant use the t9400. The 68xx series cant use the montivena CPU's

And your max FSB is 667. You cant even use 800mHz ram unless you just want it to down clock to 667

the fastest cpu on your laptop is the x9000 at 2.8 but only overclock to 3.0 because the Bios are locked at 3.0 max.

Is there anything such as BIOS update where I can use more than 667 or unlocking the overclocking limit?
