The network card screen is not a test. Some network cards can connect to servers to boot, and unless you use that you do not need to worry about it. If there is a BIOS option to disable PXE you can do it safely.

The RAM test is done during every boot as a test, because the computer checks to see if it is safe to continue working. If you know that your RAM is OK (and it probably is since it is passing), go into the BOOT menu inside of the BIOS and look for any options for QuickBoot. If you need help with that you can post any pictures from your BIOS screens and we can help!

Let me know if you need any help with this. I do not own this laptop, but I have worked with enough that I can probably help you.

You need to change the boot order under the 'boot' tab and move the 'PCI SCSI hard disk' (RAID) device up to the 3rd from top position underneath the DVD/CD-ROM entry - that will stop it trying to boot from the network card before the RAID.

You can't stop the memory test.

The default is to use QuickBoot...so that is fine as well.

I have this laptop and the BIOS doesn't give you much of any options. You will always get the Raid Screen and the memory test will run every time.
The funny thing is that it never ran with quick boot enabled when I still had just one harddrive. With RAID enabled the boot up takes a bit longer but it is still well worth it. The only thing you really can do is move up the SCSi Raid drive up to the first slot on the boot up menu. I disabled pretty much anything else. No need for it unless you want to boot from a CD/DVD or USB drive but than you can always add or change it. ;)

The memory check does still run in a non-RAID setup but it just isn't visible due to the Gateway logo screen ;)
