    P-6831FX Vista 64 Drivers?

    Anyone install Vista 64 on this laptop yet? I really want to install it but from what I have seen on the boards here people have issues with XP/XP 64 so I would assume similar issues with Vista?

    I did a clean OEM install of Vista Home Premium 64 bit and I got everything to run perfectly on my P6831. I had one unknown device in my device manager and it was the modem I had to install the driver manually through device manager and it finally installed. I do not use the modem but I just could not stand not having all of the drivers installed for all the system components. I have not had any problems outside of that and my software and games run excellent. I think the 64 bit operating system runs smoother but that is just my opinion.

    Did you get a driver for the top row of buttons so they work? The volume slider works fine for me but not the other hot buttons.

    No that is another thing that I could not get all the buttons to work for.My mute button works fine but I could not get the other ones to work.
