    Nope, we;re limited to the extreme CPU's (x7800 and x9000) and then we're limited to 3.0gHz on the overclock.

    All of out board is locked in "trusted" mode (basically we're pretty well screwed for overclocking)

    Atleast you guys can take the x9000 to 3gig...I can't do anything with my X9100 IN THIS 7811 :(

    Doesnt it just sit stock at 3.06?

    If so whats the difference? (except the 60Hz to the good)

    I mean it offers an option in the bios for 2.8 or 3.0..7811 has no option for any oc.

    True, But your already running at 3.06 so no worries. The only people it hurts are the people trying to put the previous generation CPU's in it.

    Now if gateway would allow large overclocks then that would be something. I'm wanting 3.4 or 3.6. I'm pretty sure i can get 3.4...but 3.6 might catch my rig on fire :p still worth a try though.

    So what your saying is there is no possible way to O/C a cpu on a P-6860 FX?
    There isnt any software or anything?
