    Hi,

When I booted up my laptop this afternoon, I noticed that theme was the old windows classic theme (windows 98 theme maybe), about 30 seconds later the computer crashed.

I'm dual-booting XP Pro and Vista x64, and the computer doesn't crash when I boot up XP (I'm typing this message on XP). But now every single time I boot the computer into Vista it crashes within 1 minute.

Any idea's on how to fix this, without installing Vista again :( I haven't installed ANY new programs or drivers, this just started happening for no apparent reason.

Also, something else that I noticed, was that there was no way to change the Vista theme back to the default theme. I tried changing the theme, but the option for the Vista theme (whatever it's called..) just wasn't there.

I REALLY would appreciate some help here!

    Thank you!

    Holy crap!

I just read the thread below, about this model's GPU overheating, booted into Vista and checking with HWMonitor, the GPU is at 100C!

Why would this happen so suddenly? I've had the computer for about half a year with no problems.

On XP (I just installed HWMonitor), the GPU is at 90C.

I'm not gaming on either platform right now, just booting up and opening firefox.

    What should I do?

Today. I turned off the computer and thoroughly cleaned out both vents with "3M Dust Remover" (a.k.a. compressed air).

Now that I think about it, although my 6860 seemed hot this morning I don't think it crashed before I sprayed the compressed air in. That couldn't have done anything, could it?
