I hooked the laptop up to my 42" Vizio LCD TV (w\ HDMI) and had some trouble. I figured out to use the Nvidia contol program to resize the screen so it would fit the tv correctly, but it was setup as a dual screen which was no good. After switching to a duplicate screen setup (tv mirrors laptop) the option to resize the tv screen is gone... I thought maybe it had to do with some changes I had made. I've even done a restore point and still the option is gone. Also now when I try to switch to dual mode or duplicate mode it says to keep settings yes\no, I click yes and it reverts back anyway.

I've been on google, here, nvidia forums for like 3hrs and all I can find is people having tons of trouble with the nvidia control programs. It would have worked so beautifully for me if only the setting I needed to adjust didn't disappear!! how can I get my adjustment back? Is there a patch or anything?

If I can play crysis in 42" HD I can die a happy man the next day!

Thanks in advance for any ideas\info.

Just use the windows display settings and set your HDTV as the primary monitor, the nVidia software is only good for overclocking and color settings.
