Hi guys, I just got a 6860, everything is fine except my wireless is not working. It cannot detect any wireless networks so I took a look at device manager to see if I had any missing drivers and it turns out I was missing the Intel Wireless driver, I thought it would be easily fix by just going to the gateway website and then installing the driver but for some reason it is still not showing up on device manager, I even tried downloading the one on the intel website and it's still isn't working. The gatework recovery center didn't work either...

Download the drivers from intel's website, right click the device in device manager, do update driver, and then navigate to the extracted drivers you got from Intel. I just installed the newest drivers for for my 4965AGN this way.

Its possible the wifi card was jarred loose. If youre comfortable with a screwdriver, you can check it out yourself by removing the big panel underneath. Even if it appears ok, I would still re-seat it. Just a thought.

i was having the exact same problem. reinstalling windows didnt help. I flipped over the laptop and unhooked the network card and moved it to the other spot that is empty and it works fine now
