I can't find the Webcam driver on gateway's website for the P-6860FX. After reinstalling the OS I no longer have the little silver box that pops up with all the webcam options.

    Thanks!

Did you first use the Gateway recovery center or whatever it's called to make a driver/ application restore disk(s)?
That camera driver is actually an application not the driver. You have to reinstall the Gateway Camera Assistant Software. It may be listed as Chicony Webcam Software or something similar as Chicony (whoever that is) is who actually made the program and in my add/remove programs list it shows up that way. I just did a clean OS install and it was listed as an application on my recovery disks not a drver.

Thanks guys. I was told to enter the OS system disc and follow the on screen instructions..didn't say anything about creating driver discs, etc...Dell always provided driver discs...sigh I think that should be standard for all computers.

Tell me about it, I decided to make that disk just in case and I'm glad I did now because it saved me some searching.
