I've done my research and no one seems to have the same problem as me.

CD/DVD drive not listed in my computer, cant even get the door to open to put a disk in. Once windows is shutting down or starting up the door pops open if touched (like normal) loads in bios just fine. Just got the laptop back from BestBuy (chocolate milk was spilled on the keyboard) New motherboard/ hard drive, fresh install of windows vista. CD drive worked fine on install, but once restarted the cd/dvd drive is not recognized. I even used the cd/dvd drive right after the install (before the restart) worked fine. If I restart and load windows with the disk drive open, go to my computer, the icon will be there for a brief second then poof gone. All drivers have been updated, device manger has no problems listed.
