    WTG!

i tend to joke around a bit so never feel im serious in such matters, but when helping someone..then yes sir..im 100 percent serious.

now tell the truth, you know you went to a few of your friends house's with that shinny new lappy all shined up and cleaned of finger prints. loaded with your favorite games. all the while saying..... hey, look at me!...tell the truth....lmao!

erm lol that's a tough one. i have to admit that i did take a picture of it and put it as my logo on MSN, so a bit showing off there. i didn't really show it to my friends yet except telling them that i got a new laptop and it runs Crysis on high lol. most of them are not PC gamers like me although many do own a xbox360, ps3 or psp.

now see... that's you having a bit of pride in what you went out and bought. has nothing to do with being geeky, but having all to do with a sense of having something that you took time to research and buy...lol.

and it's never wrong to show up a friend or two in the process...lol

WOW, well this thread ran its course! LOL

ryo1000...have to tell you, work 2-3 more weeks and upgrade the processor to the 83 or 9300...it will be much smoother. The show off factor is even more impressive. I have several friends which drooled when they saw what my "lowly" gateway could do in the face of there new Sager's and Alienware laps which they spent 2.5-3K on recently. ;)

John (or anyone), what OC'ing are you doing on the GPU while playing Crysis, if any? I know that Crysis doesn't like OCs at all but can tolerate a slight tweak, just don't know what that threshold is....

    Cheers

John...is that with a CPU OC as well? Actually your X9 doesn't need any help huh? :)

Sorry about that ryo...increase was about 5-6 FPS on both DX9 and 10. The biggest difference overall is the smoothness of the gameplay VERY few stalls, studders, etc. That and the boot time and application opening time was almost 100% improved

ive answered this one in a few threads...there are allot of different factors. me personally. i love the game at all medium and resolution at 1920x1200 and game runs real smooth about 25 to 40 frames depending on what is going on.

ah my bad, i probably wasn't making my point clear enough. what i was trying to ask is how much extra FPS do you gain after you OC compare to un-OCed GPU

Without overclocking , I think Adding T9300 helped gain an additonal 10 FPS in Crysis
Can anyone explain how overclocking is possible with T9300? I thought it was locked
