FYI I just purchased this laptop and found a better stock driver for the 8800M GTS and its 174.58 beta (Vista x64). Still cant overclock but can run everything (COD4, TF2, GOW, UT3, Stalker, AC) on high at max res on all games at 60+ fps (Crysis run at about 45fps on high at 1400x900). Sound driver tries to upgrade via windows update but doesn't seem to work so I keep the "standard" driver. Any Vista x64 out there who have input? Thanks! Its been a long time (Riva TNT 16mb I feel old) since I was able to run all my games at maximum!

I want to install Vista 64bit on my P-171x fx with the gateway system 32/64bit disk I got with my P-6080fx. My question is, has anyone installed 64bit vista on a P-171fx series? And the only built in hardware difference between the two series P-171fx and the P-6000fx series is the finger print reader, will the driver for the reader work with vista 64bit, or is there a 64bit version? Thank you

how come I can't choose resolutions higher than 1024x768 in my games? also using the Gateway P-6860 FX.

my NFS series and Flight Simulator X only runs at max res of 1024x768. is this a driver issue?

btw, I'm using 169.28, any suggestions?
