I was having issues with my software and Windows 7 with the old modified bios (.17) but the new one worked fine, so i requested an update:

    Gateway P-7805u BIOS 9C.23 EIST MOD.rar

    Straight from Kizwan himself!

WARNING: I got the BIOS file originally from Gateway under the P-78 section, I know its supposed to work for the entire P-78 family, but I am unaware if it actually does or not! So the warning is: I can only confirm that this works on my P-7805u, nothing else!

OBLIG: OFC the original thread for BIOS mod requests and where you can also find the same link from above: http://forum.notebookreview.com/acer/480992-acer-laptop-phoenix-bios-bios-mod-request.html ALSO read his warnings if you haven't already...

And of course, the post where he replied with all links/originality enclosed:

I had the Sleep/Hibernate issues, which I understand where due to needing to use a Legacy Firewire driver, I had issues with my powersavings setup (its a unified setup across all desktop's and laptops I own/repair) in both windows and nvidia settings (freeze's, long "wakeup" periods), stuttering (which can be a mixed part of my power setttings), and oddly enough, I was having issues with my LAN nic... I know that there was no firmware update for the Integrated NIC in the .23 update, but I dont have the issues I was having before after going back to .23 (i couldnt constant ping something and then do something like visit a website, pings would timeout, webpage loaded fine, doesnt/didnt happen for me on .23).

Overall, nitpick things on my own and probably placebo crap, since not much was actually changed (from what I understand, its not like there's DETAILED chanlogs aplenty)... And probably the way I set my system up... or I can expect the board to die in the near future...

Either way, the small things that bug the outta me, no longer occur...

As a side note, heres how "picky" I am about setting up my systems... I have folders setup in Dropbox for me and anyone who wants to use whats inside (nothing pirated, screw losing 10Gb~ storage space up from 2Gb...)
