    I bought my P-7801u for the 9800m so i can play Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 as well as Empire: Total War, which are all my favorite RTS games. Now somebody told me that it is the CPU that determines RTS playability. Is this true? If it is can I still play Empire: Total War?

    You'll definitely be able to play them. Diablo will get more benefit from the GPU. No one knows about SC2 yet, but I'd guess your CPU will be perfectly fine for it. You might be CPU limited on Total War, but you will still be able to play it pretty well.
