I understand that some of the P-7805u's come with the 1440*900 screen instead of the 1920*1200 screen but is it the same way with the 7801u model? On TigerDirect.com it has the 7801u specified as coming with the 1920*1200 screen but do those models have a history of shipping with the WXGA screen instead? Also, while I'm here, does anyone know all of the differences between the 7801u and 7805u model? The 7801u seems to have the same specs as the 7805u on TigerDirect.com. I greatly appreciate the help

Oh, and heres the link to the 7801u on TigerDirect

The only difference between the two is, as you suspected, is the screen specs. The 7801u is spec'd with the WUXGA 1920x1200 screen and to my knowledge ONLY comes with that screen. The 7805u is spec'd with the WXGA 1440x900 screen. Sometimes it comes with the 1920x1200 screen and sometimes it comes with the 1440x900 screen.

For the 7805u, pretty much all of the early batch numbers came with the WUXGA screen (check out the batch # thread). Since then it's been pretty much a crap shoot as to which screen you will get.

    Hope this helps.
