I was thinking that if I upgraded my 7805 to a x9100, would I have heat related issues? I have a T9400 in there now, and I don't have any problems, but I have been trying to find someone on here that has a x9100 to see if it's stable. The reason I ask is because of the 45watt power draw. Will that be just a little too hot for the stock heat sink to keep up with? I put my lappy through some serious cpu grinding routines.

I know that there is a T9900. However now the x9100 cpu's are about $100.00 cheaper with the same numbers. (except power draw that is).

I am thinking of doing this, because this seems to be the limit of the core 2 duo chips that we can put in this model since the quad core is not an option. I just need to get the very most out of this lappy.

I see. Well, that sounds like something else that may become an issue. Hopefully someone that has a x9100 can chime in to tell me exactly what the scoop is.
