    Is the P-7805U memory actually limited to 4 gigs by Gateway (by whatever means) or have some of you succeeded in installing 8 gigs?

    I would upgrade to 8 gigs if it was cheap to do so but right now that's like a $400 upgrade. Not worth it since i don't even use all 4 gigs lol.

    The 7800 series is capable of up to 8 G of RAM.

    Any montevina laptop can handle up to 8gb.
