I'm probably a rare case - I want the 1440x900. Now I've read a bit about some people getting 1920x1200 and others not. If I want to pick this up at Best Buy, what are the chances I'm getting the correct resolution labeled?

Real likely. Mine is 1440x900. Kinda wish I had 1920x1200 instead though...Why do you want the regular one? (just curious)

Chances are very good (95%+) that you will get WXGA+ and, if by some chance you didn't, you could always return it and ask for another... ;)

Well a couple of reasons: 1.) at 1440 gpu won't be as taxed as 1920 and I like to play at native res and 2.) I'm not 100% sure 1920x1200 is for me yet... need to see the 1440x900 in person.

If you look at the batch # threads floating around here you should be able to get a pretty good idea, most batches between I0079XX and I013XXX seem to be 1440x900 but some in the newer batches have shown up with 1920 screens.

My daughter's 17" gateway running Vista Home is 1400x900. To me, that is a perfect resolution for surfing and coding.
