    Hey all!

Have a P-7805u and something is driving me insane.

Every so often it will like "beep chirp" at me. Its been happening for a few years now but is now starting to drive me insane. Running latest Nvidia and I have no issues other then this chirping. Portal 2 runs perfectly great.

Its def coming from the mobo and I tired looking for a BIOS update but cant find any DL links anywhere. Even the gateway site has almost nothing on this model?

Anyone hear of this issue and knows of a fix or has a link to the latest BIOS that maybe I can try?

    Thanks all!

Ya, i have it too, its very faint, and it happens every so often. It sounds like a creepy really high pitched bell ringing for a second only and its gone. How do you know its from the mobo?

SOLVED!!!! It was the HDD. I found some issues with that particular series of WD hard drives and its a known issue. Remove the HDD and the churping is GONE. So there ya go
