    lovin Win7 runs so much better but I cant seem to figure what driver i am missing... any help or [​IMG]ideas..

    Oddly enough i just lost my Card Reader today... i'm still trying to figure out a fix for it. :(

    the card reader works but i did notice my the webcam does not work even though it shows up device manager as a properly working usb2 camera.. The chicony software gives me cannot start camera error..

    For kicks i removed the unkown device and it has not reappeared maybe it was just a fluke.. Everything is working great except the camera so far..

    odd things had happened before, but from citing de sade to citing an old forgotten zen master... hmm

    anyway still using my old faithful 6831fx i use my card reader on 7 x64 and there are no missing devices, i am not sure your card reader is the same as mine. i did installed off realtek site (me thinks)

    if u guys notice under storage devices the cards readers are fine and workin.. The built in camera as of right now is th eonly thing not working..and it shows properly installed under devices

    The unknown device could have to do with the non-working camera. For instance my card reader worked even without the O2Micro driver but I had an Unknown Device. When I installed the O2Micro driver, the UD disappeared.

    My card reader is still quirky in operation FYI Kamin. Win7 on 7811.

    Yeah its been a while since you've been around. You should drop by more often. I still have my 6860 as well. :)

    And yeah i'm still hanging around. As to the crossover from de Sade to Buddha i figured if i'm going to be a moderator i mine as well have a friendlier sig. Plus its a reminder to everyone that if they think they know everything they still have alot to learn :D

    As to the card reader i'll try to use realteks driver, its just odd because i have used it a number of times already and then all the sudden it fatally crashed and i havent been able to even make it even register in the system.

    Hopefully though when my Signature Win7 comes in and i do a complete reinstall it will fix the reader. if not i'll have to look elsewhere
