Pretty happy of what I achieved so far, of course there are some sacrifices I had to make but mostly it involves some distant rocks and grass being visible. Many other tweaks were made but nothing that prevents the game from achieving a beautiful high definition setting on a late 2008 Laptop. I actually doubled the resolution on the far away terrain for the mountains.
By the way I use a modified ToD to modify the Single Player level's lighting. Also I downloaded and Installed the Crysis Texture Update by Rygel.
Here is the link to the Thread: http://www.crymod.com/thread.php?threadid=26547
I highly recommend you download and install this 2Gb update, as it increases the Texture resolutions tremendously, while having almost NO impact on fps. A must have.
If you're having trouble finding a working link to actually download the file here it is: http://www.exp.de/download.php?id=15368
Click on the last download link, the Master Server #3.

I don't understand people's obsession with Crysis. Don't people just beat it once and leave it at that? Surely it gets boring after a while.
 -
I never beat it because the performance was so terrible the first time I picked it up. I could raise the settings to High'ish but the Fps was around 21-24 and that's almost unplayable for a FPS game. Now with this tweak I can play with some awesome Very High'ish detail and get around 30 fps average. Now I can finally play this game

...Ironic that Crysis 2 is coming out soon... -

Haha Crysis 2 lmao
I was the same way with battlefield; for a week I spent A LOT of my time trying to get the BEST performance and graphics. Eventually I got it where I wanted it and then got bored... it is only fun when there is a problem and you have to figure out how to fix it lol -

Those look like great numbers there Andros. I''l have to tweak my settings and see what i get.

I finished my Configuration here is the link:

I'm going to get this game soon and have a couple questions.
Does Crysis set to DX9 look as good as DX10, or is DX10 just not worth the worse frame rate?
Also, would high texture resolution for far away stuff matter with my 1440x900 screen? -
DX9 with my custom tweak is exactly like DX10 but with better frame rate, and I actually increased FoV distance for detailed water and ground textures without losing significant fps. Just make sure to follow the guide I posted on the crytek site and you will get great fps @1440x900.

I don't see any results for what your average fps were. All your screenshot states is that the configuration passed on your laptop.
 -
The last screen shows the benchmark, if you zoom in you can see "total frames: 4100 recorded time:132 seconds" if you calculate the amounts of frames/time recording it comes out to 31 frames per second average.

P-7805u and Crysis- My new tweaks yield amazing Very High visuals and great fps @ 1920x1200
