Been reviewing the forums and considering upgrading the CPU on my 7805u to either the x9100 or T9900.

During my ebay searches, came across this:

    Intel E8435 SLAQD 3.06G 6M 1066

The ebay page suggests it works with the 7805u and is comparable to the x9100 and T9900.

It is considerably cheaper than both the x9100 and T9900. Any idea on how it might compare?

    Low power features.
but if you think about oc you never use them (for example trottle stop with x9100).

To end this fairly old post, anyone looking to upgrade to the e8435 DO NOT DO IT! It has no features (ex. Speedstep technology)as most the t series have many(ex. t9900). Also if that wasn't a good enough reason why this processor is horrible and you would still like to upgrade please do not buy the co stepping (ex. SLAQD) make sure it is the Model SLGEA (eo stepping). This post will end anyones opinion on whether they should get this old mac socket p processor over any new advanced processors. DON'T DO IT! Horrible gaming performance.
