I needed additional protection for my P-7811 FX to prevent scratches, etc. After a little bit of research, I ended up getting the Invisible Shield for the Gateway P-6301. Since both models share the same casing, it was a perfect fit for my P-7811 FX. However, the P-7811 FX does not have the Gateway logo in the center (as found on the P-6301), thus leaving that tiny portion unprotected. Nevertheless, it is hardly noticeable and well worth the added protection.

If you're looking to keep the P-7811 FX protected from scratches or additional damage, I highly recommend the Invisible Shield. My P-7811 FX looks very, very shiny!!!

I'll try posting some pics when I have the time.

You can order the Invisible Shield for the P-7811 FX & P-6301 at: zagg.com

I myself hate laptops with glossy casing. I own a 7811 and I don't care if it gets those little scratches all over it. It's my gaming laptop and it play what I want to play ;)

Yeah I use one on my iPhone - awesome stuff.

Love the fact that it's used on military helicopter blades - although it's probably bull :D

it works well as a screen protector for my phone, but sucked balls at protecting the rest of the phone (LG enV2). the shield was wearing thin from all the times putting it back and forth from my pocket.

I use invisible shield on my phone screen. Works very well and has held up for 6 months.
