This'll be a big help to those new 7811 owners. Good work! Am I correct in assuming these are Vista 64bit drivers?

Why not just go to www.laptopvideo2go.com?

That site has all the Nvidia drivers, including the version released just 4 days ago along with the modified .inf files necessary to allow us to install on the 7811. I've been running this newest driver since I got my 7811 on Thursday and it seems to run very well.

You need to download and install 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/

Download the installer, put it in your flash drive, install it in your laptop, and then you should be able to open the driver archive.

Install it on the 7811, and then open C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe. Once the program opens, go File->Open and then open up the DRV.7z file.

    Go to www.laptopvideo2go.com.

Follow the directions at the site. You can get the latest Nvidia desktop drivers (XP and Vista, 32 and 64 bit) and a custom .inf file that will allow them to install on your machine. Much better than searching for some stale Gateway drivers.

Thats my bad. I forgot you are running 32bit.

Here are the latest 32bit drivers from L2G. Make sure you download and use the modified inf. Here's a thread with detailed instructions to help you along. Again, sorry for the incorrect info previously.

something is still off, it sees 9700M GTS and a 9800M GTX but not a 9800M GTS. Right now the drivers installed show it as a 9700M GTS, not sure if thats ok.

    Thanks for all the help

Did you use the modified inf? More than likely the 9700M GTS drivers will work fine as nvidias drivers are unicode. I'll still search around and see if I can find the 9800M GTS drivers for you. In the meantime, maybe run some benches (ie 3dmark06) to be sure.

And as far as the touchpad, these should work.

Heres the modified inf. Just download it to where you decompressed the other drivers and rename the current one to something else, or just overwrite it.

I know I'm a n00b here and all, virgin post here, but could someone upload the Vista 64bit driver zip somewhere besides Rapidshare...6 hours for a 132 meg file on a 15M fiber connection seems a little long to me :D

Megaupload usually work pretty good for me, but I think they have a cap of 100 meg...I don't recall for sure...but anything else aside from Rapidshare should work.

The Vista 32 driver for Conexant HDAudio Driver that I posted. I have tried to log on to that sight and can not seem to do it. It may be bogus. Who needs Vista 32 anyway. People will either use XP 32 or Vista 64.

Here is another source for Vista from Softpedia. I wonder if Vista 32/64 may use the same driver? Don't know why I had so much trouble finding these the first few times.
    http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/OTHER-SOUNDCARDS/Conexant-HD-Audio-Driver-418050.shtml

Some models of HP and Toshiba use the Conexant also and drivers can be grabbed from their sites. At least HP ... never had a Toshiba.
