This'll be a big help to those new 7811 owners. Good work! Am I correct in assuming these are Vista 64bit drivers?
-
A big help thank you. The video drivers alone took an hour to find. I'm sure this will help many more as well.
-
-
That site has all the Nvidia drivers, including the version released just 4 days ago along with the modified .inf files necessary to allow us to install on the 7811. I've been running this newest driver since I got my 7811 on Thursday and it seems to run very well.
Ira -
Thanks I'll need this when I get mine (ordered already).
-
this is for people who reinstalled vista right?
-
Yes. Vista 64bit
-
i downloaded that and put it in a flahs drive to install it in my laptop since it didn't have internet access. But i can't open it my laptop????
-
You need to download and install 7zip: http://www.7-zip.org/
Download the installer, put it in your flash drive, install it in your laptop, and then you should be able to open the driver archive. -
-
-
Sorry, here's a direct link to the install file: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z457-x64.msi
You would download the x64 non-beta one since you're using Vista 64-bit. -
-
-
Install it on the 7811, and then open C:\Program Files\7-Zip\7zFM.exe. Once the program opens, go File->Open and then open up the DRV.7z file.

I need some help I need drivers for the wireless network, had to reinstall to 32bit but dont have the drivers...where can I get those?
-
For 32bit Vista Wireless, this should cover it: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det... Vista* Home Premium, 64-bit version&lang=eng
-
perfect tx
-
sorry I need the nvidia drivers now for 32, tx
-
Follow the directions at the site. You can get the latest Nvidia desktop drivers (XP and Vista, 32 and 64 bit) and a custom .inf file that will allow them to install on your machine. Much better than searching for some stale Gateway drivers.
Ira -
thats the problem I thought I had the right drivers for the 7811fx but no good, when in device manager its says for display drivers "Standard VGA Graphics Adapter".
-
They are also available in the zipped file linked in the beginning of this thread.
-
-
something is still off, it sees 9700M GTS and a 9800M GTX but not a 9800M GTS. Right now the drivers installed show it as a 9700M GTS, not sure if thats ok.
Thanks for all the help -
Did you use the modified inf? More than likely the 9700M GTS drivers will work fine as nvidias drivers are unicode. I'll still search around and see if I can find the 9800M GTS drivers for you. In the meantime, maybe run some benches (ie 3dmark06) to be sure.
And as far as the touchpad, these should work. -
Thats what I didnt get, modified inf file. I only had one option to pick when doing the have disk and didnt see a link for a modified inf.
-
Heres the modified inf. Just download it to where you decompressed the other drivers and rename the current one to something else, or just overwrite it.
-
Dook, I've added all your helpful info to the OP.
-
Cool! Good idearrrrr. And thanks for the rep.
-
Dook it worked great, thanks for putting up with me
-
Anytime! Enjoy your new lappy.
-
Im sorry I have to ask for 1 more tonight and hopefully no more, webcam for 32bit. thanks
-
This should do it.
-
Thank you again
-
No problem.
-
Can't somebody use http://www.drivermax.com/download.htm to help me with me drivers?
Ty -
What are you trying to do exactly? Back your drivers up? Install ones for a different OS, what?
-
I wanna see if all my drivers is good after refresh installation.

I know I'm a n00b here and all, virgin post here, but could someone upload the Vista 64bit driver zip somewhere besides Rapidshare...6 hours for a 132 meg file on a 15M fiber connection seems a little long to me
-
Do you have any specific file upload sites in mind?
-
Megaupload usually work pretty good for me, but I think they have a cap of 100 meg...I don't recall for sure...but anything else aside from Rapidshare should work.
-
They have a 1 gig cap so it should be fine.
I'll start the upload and post it when it's done. -
You rawk...thanx!
-
Thought I would post these from the bottom of my driver guide (not sure if the Realtek drivers are applicable to the 7811):
Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility v9.0.0.1011
Intel PRO/Wireless & WiFi Link v12.0.4.0
Intel Matrix Storage Manager v8.5.2.1002
Intel Matrix F6 Driver Diskette for 2000/XP 32-bit v8.5.2.1002
Intel Matrix F6 Driver Diskette for XP 64-bit v8.5.2.1002
Synaptics Touchpad v11.1.1.2 r2
Realtek Media Card Reader v6.0.6000.20097
Realtek Gigabit Ethernet v6.208.729.2008
Bluetooth v5.1.0.1500 -
Thanks iaMtHeAnimaL! I'm guessing the ones where you don't specify OS/architecture are OS agnostic?
-
Correct

The Vista 32 driver for Conexant HDAudio Driver that I posted. I have tried to log on to that sight and can not seem to do it. It may be bogus. Who needs Vista 32 anyway. People will either use XP 32 or Vista 64.
Here is another source for Vista from Softpedia. I wonder if Vista 32/64 may use the same driver? Don't know why I had so much trouble finding these the first few times.
http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOUND-CARD/OTHER-SOUNDCARDS/Conexant-HD-Audio-Driver-418050.shtml
Some models of HP and Toshiba use the Conexant also and drivers can be grabbed from their sites. At least HP ... never had a Toshiba.
