Hi, anybody experiencing the GPU fan blowing at random rates sometimes on your P-7811 FX? For example, upon bootup, it blows and turns off, then blows and turns off. While surfing, it does the same thing. Is this normal?

Yes, sometimes at boot. When in use temperatures rise, fans come on, temperature drops, fans shut off. Repeat cycle. You can reduce the cycling a bit depending on which Power mode you use depending on surfing or watching movies on battery. Some games will put both fans on high until you quit game.

Make sure you have updated your bios. Everyone was complaining in the first two months of the 7811 FX's release about the "pulsing" fan effect but later new bios versions were released, which also cleared up this problem.
