    P-7811 FX screen went black & white!

    Hello, new to posting but have lurked off and on before...

    Got my hands on a 2nd hand P-7811 FX laptop and have enjoyed it from the minute I got it. However, I was checking e-mail and got up to do something. When I came back, the screen had lost all color and went to black & white. I had my 22" widescreen monitor hooked up to it so I detached it, and tried again (rebooted). The screen went through POST in color (no grey letters), windows vista booted in color, and the minute my desktop comes on screen, it went to black & white...any ideas?

    Should I start shopping e-bay for a new screen??

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first laptop.

    More than likely a setting or driver. Use system restore to a point before where you noticed the issue............
