By default the WLAN adapter uses Vista to manage its connections.
I have attempted to install the Intel Pro/Set Wireless software, but there is no management utility...
This is what I used, and it worked perfectly but I would like the Intel connection management software to work if it all possible.

I am a wireless network engineer.

I want the added functionality the Pro/Set manager provides. -

haha! well then. I dont remember the name of the software as I have it on my desktop at home, but it has a very decent tool/manager for this type of thing...I will get back to you later as I am at the office

Thanks mate, that would be much appreciated.
Naturally I have much more powerful tools for the job, but I like to use my laptop in addition to them when performing site survey's and during installations / training.
From what I am finding on the Intel site, they seemed to have possibly scrapped that portion for the new 5x00 series adapters...

I'm going to keep diggin'... -

I would check out some of those, I am not very familiar with chipsets on wireless cards like I used to. Does intel run their own chipset on them or do they have a 3rd party one? might be worth some research
