P-7811FX Potential Buyer.. Few Quick Q's..

1. When buying this laptop.. should I get the best warranty at BB?

2. Any recommendations on a carrying case for it?

3. What does the FPS look like in World of Warcraft?

4. Anyone play the Warhammer Beta event with the 7811? If so.. did it run well?

5. As a GateWay.. I'm nervous about all of the pre-loaded crap that comes on it.. is this a problem?

The price tag per performance... just makes this laptop **** near to pass up.

Just make sure before you reformat, you at least make the Drivers recovery disk.
I'd just make all the recovery disks personally, incase you ever want to sell as factory settings.

And extra yr warranty isn't just AMEX, Visa and Mastercard both offer double warranty on manufacture up to an additional year.
Although ofcourse they don't cover Accidental.

 

Or you can get a second hard drive and install the fresh OS on that and save the original until you know you could reformat it.

Btw: anyone know how to search the forums for a particular thread. Noob question, but other forums have a search feature but I can't find it here. So when members tell others to search for the thread, how do you do it?

 

Unfortunately there isn't. The search bar on the top right searching everything; there isn't a specific forum search/thread/post like other forums.

 

Since the rest has been answered:

Anyone play the Warhammer Beta event with the 7811? If so.. did it run well?

It ran fine, the game atm is a memory hog and I wouldn't recommend running it on Vista w/o the 4gb. They are still trying to tweak this but as far as the 7811 goes, you can play WAR at your native resolution without problems.
