    Hello,

Does anyone else despise the power cable connector to the laptop? I find it comes detached more often than any other power cable I've ever had with a laptop. The fact that it is L shaped and so fat you can't let it hang down naturally unless the laptop is on a tilt...It's really annoying to me. Anyone have a 3rd party charger that's any better?

There was a Targus 180 WATT adapter that was compatible for the laptop, but now it's $100. And yea, I agree, the connector is crap. But I haven't really had any problems with it coming unplug.

Like many on this forum, I purchased the Targus supply. It runs cool, doesn't "buzz", and just plain works.

The DC barrel plug, however, is longer than the Gateway stock plug, so it hangs out farther and is actually easier to pull out by accident. I'm actually concerned that at some point I may torque the connection and break the board-mounted power socket...

That's exactly what I'm thinking...I've seen it happen on other laptops and I don't want it to happen on mine.
