I recently ordered one of these but I do not have it yet. I was hoping someone with this machine could post the Windows Experience scores with the stock configuration?

Post yours when you get it. The windows experience scores aren't important. It's really a marketing tool that can be used to encourage you to upgrade.

Here's my 6860fx so you'll have something to compare against:

I would expect you to score better accross the board minus the primary hard disk rating. My 6860 is 2 years old already and it wasn't bleeding edge when I got it back then...

    EDIT:

Actually I just found the 7805u's stock experience index score (5.4):

    Thanks WarlordOne!

Looks like you have a SSD in yours. :)

I'll post my scores right after opening it, and then again after formatting it for a fresh install of 7.

    edit: My current laptop gets:
    CPU: 5.1
    RAM: 5.1
    Graphics: 4.7
    Gaming: 5.9
    HDD: 5.8
    Overall: 4.7

NP, yeah I had to leave for lunch so I couldn't finish my edit.

Anyway, I'm running Win7 which has a higher limit on the index scoring (7.9) I can't find my old screen cap of when I was running Vista which has a limit of 5.9, although I was close to having it maxed out. Still the link I gave should give a fair comparision to what you could expect.

That shows my 7805 score. All stock. I'm pretty sure a processor upgrade is gonna improve the memory score too.

Interesting. Not sure why we are posting 7805 scores in a 7908 thead, but on my stock p7805u running Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit:

    Processor 5.9
    Memory 5.9
    Graphics 6.8
    Gaming 6.8
    HD 5.8

not much different than Maverick79's, so I'd say what we show is fairly typical.

On the Vista Home Premium 64 side:

    Processor-5.2
    Memory (RAM)-5.9
    Graphics-5.9
    Gaming Graphics-5.9
    Primary HD-5.7

5.9 is the highest Vista will show, but clearly Vista and W7 are using a different algorithim for the Processor score and, perhaps, the HD score.

Thanks Zero, and the rest of you that posted, these are great for comparisons. (I do understand these aren't very scientific scores)

Just opened up my new 7908u laptop. Out of the box before removing or adding anything it scored:

    6.2
    6.2
    6.8
    6.8
    5.8

update: Raid also appears to be available on this machine. I can enable it in the BIOS.

This is ridiculous my notebook only gets 6.0 in both graphics? Maybe I'm still using the RC Win 7? I have 4,400 Vantage GPU score for crying out loud.

Yeah, you should be getting around 6.8's based on other's scores.

Are you really using the Release Candidate? If so, that could be the problem - I seem to remember my scores were lower with it.

I just downloaded and installed the latest 9800 drivers from Nvidia (Dec 09) and bumped graphics from 6.7 to 6.8 just saying.
