I have the same laptop as you, and I haven't experienced this. Since I bought it, I've installed Fallout 3 and star wars: the force unleashed. Fallout 3 crashed on me a couple of times, and Star Wars has crashed on me once, leaving the laptop in a frozen like state, until I pushed Ctrl-Alt-Del which brought up the task manager, and I was able to end the games and get back to the desktop.

You should probably take it back and exchange it.

Hmm I got the same laptop and I haven't had any type of crashes, only insane hot GPU temps (about 107ÂșC) while playing assassin's creed or Mass Effect 1.
I finished both DAO and Prototype on my laptop, no crashes whatsoever on the same model as yours.
Only problem I had was prototype's loooow sound but thats the games fault :D!

so there's no solution only to give it to service it or replace it
