    P172X-FX Vista online gaming problems

    I have a new Gateway P172x FX laptop. The first one sent was DOA. BSOD on initial boot up. Second one arrived and all works great....... except.
    I play Aces High. When playing on 4+ yr old gatway 600y series with 64 meg graphics, on WIN 2K pro OS, I had no connection or warp problems. Now, with new 172x FX unit and VISTA, I get the worst warps while flying in game. I hae tried everything i know to neuter VISTAs background running services. Of course, i have all auto updating off, firewall off, uninstalled Norton and still.... laggy warps in game. Any suggestions from the gamming gurus out there???
