Hoping I can get some help here.

I have a P6831FX that has problems with the LCD. What I noticed was that the LCD looked to be going out. It would turn off by itself and sometimes come on randomly.. If you looked at the panel, you could still see the display.. so I assumed the panel was bad. I ordered a new panel and just installed it. Turned on the computer and have the exact issue. You can see the Windows boot screen barely, but no light is on. I assume this might be an inverter problem?? What can I do now? Any help to get this fixed would be appreciated. Link to where to buy replacement parts would also be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Tony

*** Spelled the title wrong. Should be 6831FX

Hmm. At worst you would have to hook up an external monitor and use your laptop like a pc.

Try if you can see the desktop by flashing a torch light. If you can then i believe its an inverter problem. You can find inverters on e-bay.

I'd check the cable connection where the LCD panel actually plugs into the mobo. Known problem that they can come slightly unplugged with heavy use.
