So I installed the 12/07 Bios update on my laptop via the ISO image, and now Vista crashes at the initial loading/splash screen. The bars go across maybe a quarter of the way then a BSOD that's way to fast to read pops up. ***? Anyone else have this issue?

Is your BIOS set to RAID or AHCI or IDE? And, make sure that matches how Vista sees your hard drives.

Have you loaded the default values in the BIOS since updating, as you should after any BIOS update, and then set your required options?

I have a strong feeling this is the issue. Either that or I have a UTI.

That was it. Had to change to compatibility from AHCI and it worked like a charm. Thanks for the help.
