Hey all. I'm gonna take the plunge and purchase a new P6860 but I really don't know which game to get.

I like UT3 but feel like I should get best value out of the game since you can spend up to 49.99 on the new game and BB sells UT3 for 29. Should I stick with UT3? What other games are really awesome with smooth gameplay on this laptop?

One more question - is vista ultimate a worthy upgrade for $99?

    Thanks all!

I chose Mass Effect, which doesn't actually come out until the 28th.

picked up crysis, shoulda gotten COD4 since I was a prestige 2 level 55 back when I was a console fanboy

I was playing Crysis today and suddenly I saw a huge stack of barrels and then I remembered that I had accidentally saved some huge physics thing I had made in Editor :D

COD4. IT runs smooth maxed out and has a lot of multiplayer upside.

Orange Box, Gears of War, UTIII also run great.

If you like RPGs, Oblivion runs smooth fully maxed out, as does the Witcher.

Cod4 is the hottest thing out there right now, lots of mods hundreds of new maps. But, if you want Unreal3 get it on Steam right now its on sale for 29.99. And if you want every unreal game ever made, they have an everything pack (with all of the Unreals) for 44.95. For all you gamers that haven't tried Steam yet......You owe it to yourself to try it. The community is great and you can buy games whenever you want to (day or night). Also setting it up is very easy and tranfering your account to another computer is unbelievably easy. I had to do that a couple of times and just recently, I just bought the P6860 my self.

Steam is nice, you don't have to keep up with game disks and keys and if you ever need to reformat all you need is a reasonably fast internet connection to get you games back (or you can just back them up to an external)

You can even "share" games with your friends as long as the two of you aren
t logged in to the same account at the same time.

I have to say that Crysis is worth it just for the Editor alone, its a really powerful tool, you could make your own game with it
