there was already posts about this in another thread, but it is a great deal.you can get a price match within 14 days of when you bought the product, but i don't think you can do that again off the price match, which wouldn't happen cause i doubt BB would put something on sale one week and again the next at a lower price.

    shoot, i paid 1249 for mine...lol

i was reading some of the reviews though. and people will complain about any thing. and one of the 3 biggest complaints....fingerprints and the mic doesn't work & slow cpu? just looking at the picture alone tells you it takes finger prints. quit sweating and they wont show so bad...lol. and as for the mic.....if they would set it up, it would work fine. the computer has a built in mic which needs to be switched over to your external mic. and the cpu is super easy to get to and upgrade.

people forget they are getting an 8800m gts out the deal! and if they use digital vibrance on the "so called washed out screen" they would see they we're gravely mistaken..... just my 5 cents for the day...lol

Just wanted to thank you all here at this forum for creating this thread. I just purchased this laptop for 1349 about six days ago so this would be a nice deal to go in or call up in a couple of hours to knock 250 off the price.

:( So sad.. Got my notebook 3 weeks ago so I cant get the price match. Oh well, at least I got a free game with mine. Not that it equals an extra $150 off. That would pay for my extra hard drive plus some...

In the past..........When BB lowers the price by this much (thats a big savings) it means they are on the cusp of replacing that model with another. This is what happened when they stopped producing the P6831 and the P6860 came in. As a matter of fact the sale price, ath that time was the same exact price they have on the P6860. I hope for everyone elses sake(I allready own a P6860) that they don't opt to go with the lower price (less capable) ati cards in coming models of the FX at BB.

This is the time to buy if you were interested in the 6860 all along. With this price drop, you can now easily add a 2-3 year Best Buy store warranty (instead of calling up Gateway with the manufacturer's warranty and having to ship a broken laptop to them).

Just wanted to do a quick update:

I went in today at Best Buy and they handled the price difference very fast and easy. It came out to a return of $266 or so.

Bought my laptop on the first of June and went in yesterday after seeing that it was on sale again for 150 less than I paid. Although it took the sales reps a while to figure out the easiest way to price match it, they got it worked out and gave me back 160 bucks. She also said it is Best Buy's policy to price match for 90 days after the original sale, so if that's indeed true, that's pretty good to know.

So, even if you bought it within the last 3 months at a higher price, you might be able to get away with a new price match. Tell them they should return the laptop to a gift card, resell it on the gift card with the new price, and then cash out the difference. That's how they got around the system saying it was out of their policy with mine.
