I needed to reload my Vista 64bit OS after a repair. I did not read the directions. Instead I used the Operating System Disc to format and install a clean copy to the C: partition without creating back up discs. After realizing that many of the needed drivers were not loaded I started trying to figure out how to use the Recovery Partition. Now I am stuck. With the clean install there is no Gateway Recovery software under Start Menu/All Programs. If I try the boot up method by pressing F8 I get the standard Vista Boot Options Menu. There is no option for Repair. So to my questions are.
Is there a way to access or activate the Recovery Partition at this point?
Maybe a Run command, or a Command Propt?
I am not concerned about personal data and files. They are backed up to another computer.
Thank you,
Mox

Well I think that I have found a workable solution to my problem. So I thought I would post it for the next person who has a similar issue.
I used the guide at the link below to copy the apps files from the recovery partition to the c: drive. The guide was apparently written for Win XP but the first part covering apps worked on my Vista 64 bit. After the apps files were copied to the c: drive, I located the Gateway Recovery Center setup files. For me they were in App002155. After installing the GRC I was still not able to do a Full Factory Recovery, but I was able to install all of the necessary drivers.

After I used the above method I also located another guide that seems to let you install the GRC directly from the Recovery Partition without all of the copying. I have not tried this.
