    P6860FX XP install troubles

    cannot get audio driver to work, tried following both the guides but i do not have the device showing up in the device manager, also bluetooth isn't showing up, any help much appreciated, also have 3 unknowns and something with the pci device, and a bunch of usb root hubs with exclamations, also can't get video driver to install something wrong with the inf file, but i downloaded the modded one... Q_Q Q_Q x 2

    Try to install drivers manually for audio, select one of the Unknown related to audio, you can check in properties. In properties- go to driver- select update drivers, from there you can install saved audio drivers manually.

    Alright I think I got the audio driver to work, and I tried getting the video driver to work BUT, the nVidia control panel doesn't work :(

    Yeah, I got it to work eventually but there are still some unknown devices and a SM bus device. eh I can live with it for now

    did you use gateways support site to download windows xp drivers?
    you can compare the xp drivers to the vista 32bit drivers, by the process of elimination, you can figure out which 3 devices you are missing.

    I also recommend getting driver max. sometimes it would recognize what the unknown driver is.
    -cam, modem, some usb port?
