    Hi guys,

My P6860fx Says that 8800 is giving error 43, i done all the things except "Baking" .

Now what can be the solution to this ....

    1. Gpu can't be changed since soldered .....or can it be?

    2. Baking technique ......ill do when i have replacementt ready.

    3. Motherboard change

Since P6860FX was there for a very little time so the motherboards are limited
Gateway site rates 459$ for mobo if i add another 100$ to that i can buy p7802fx here in china.

i dont want to go for new laptop now ( i love my 17inch 1440 fx) , want to repair it.

So a chinese supplier here claiming to supply me new motherboard with 6 months warranty but stocks are not the same i want.

    He has Motherboards for :

    1. GATEWAY P-7811 FX

    2. GATEWAY P-6831 FX

Since both are Fx models but different GPU

i was thinking that can 7811 fit in to 6860 casing since both are fx models and power supply is almost same .....

Plz guys move some banging heads around ...test yourself how can this problem be solve

I was not so Smart as xxErikxx to have 3 years extended warranty from Best Buy.

    thanks   :)
