I upgraded to a BD drive, works great CT10N, you just need a good program to use it.
This is the one you need, and you need a program like PowerDvD to run it too.

You can contact the seller and ask about compatibility, mine is not a slot load, maybe that's the difference

If you got it, the slot load version, how will it look on the side after its installed? Will it be flush, recessed, or other? The drawer on the existing drive is curved to fit with the lines of the unit. I think if its not specifically for the P-7805u, its gonna look like crap. But hey, that's just my op. I'd be interested to know if this CA10N is going to work 100% in fit, looks and playability.

well flynnaz's CT10N is also made by LG so I would think the CA10N would look pretty much similar except slot instead of tray

flynnaz do you have a pic of how the drive looks in your laptop?

I used the same bezel, it looks like the stock player, I would not go the slot load way, you will not have a bezel for it.

okay I'm gonna sound like a complete n00b here but bezel?

and I mostly wanted a slot-load since the tray always makes me nervous, especially since going away to college in the fall I have a foreboding sense of doom that something will happen to my laptop

the drive will only be used to play blu-ray movies, I use Steam, Impulse, or GOG for all my games

The Bezel is the plastic piece on the outside of the laptop that matchs the rest of your laptop.
