Is there any program I can use to manually max my fans out at all times? During any intense gaming, my framerate drops to 0FPS and my fans are barely spinning.

ummm... good god do i wish...

AFAIK however, you can remove the sensor wire for the fan (requires opening the notebook), and it will always run at 100% then...

TBQH if you do follow the AFAIK, clean the GPU and get some REAL thermal paste/pads for the GPU/VRAM modules... its pathetic...

Also, use bios .17, if you use .23 or .25, they effed up the GPU Fan speed settings and the fan doesnt turn on AT ALL until it hits 172F!!!

I use .23 for the Win7 BOSD issues and Firewire issues, but have redone my thermal paste/pads setup and see 140F idle (non-gaming or DVD videos) on my GPU, and when the fan kicks in it drops fast enough not to cause FPS lag!

I used HeGrease and 17kwm (special order from mxmupgrades) for the CPU/GPU/NB/SB/EVERYTHING cooling replacement! Otherwise most here have used ICD7 as both paste and pad (done thickly), YMMV

Oh, heres a SS of SpeedFan:

Keep in mind, I have my hands to the sides before I started typing, else temps would be about 10F lower across the board (literally)!

Ill try and get a SS later, im about to go play some DotA2!

PS: if you live anywhere near SanAntonio, Texas, Ill redo the cooling on your system for COST! (thermal material aint cheap...)

Yeah man, to be honest, it's all to much work for me, I work 6 days a week and have 0 time to do all this.

I'm in South FL, so a bit away from Texas :/

I haven't opened up my P7805u in 4 years since I bought it.

The irony/comedy in your post is that I got my p-7805u from one of my online friends in South FL... he got a desktop, knew I was still using my Dell D810, and sent me his...

Ahh, the fun never ends :)

Nice! I do love it, it's just getting old.

I recently built a desktop, but I use my laptop more due to I'm always at work.

Well, you only have my word, and my sales transaction reviews on XDA (I guess if buying/selling reviews are of any use to you), but if you ever had the money for shipping, send it my way and ill do the work for you, no power supply or battery needed (or any other component besides CPU really), Id let you know the cost for thermal paste and pads*....

Id also reccomend the p-79 GPU cooling unit, its Fan+Heatsink combined and has an extra offshoot for some of the PWM modules, keeping them cool is always good! (I actually took a piece of copper from my old HS for my P4 shuttle and extended it to cover 2 more modules as well... runs like a champ!)

*dont ship lightly... the box my friend used and packing material got to me rubber banded together by the shippers... and the adapter was outside the box... I got told no insurance would cover it, thank god nothing was wrong...
