Not much really, but noticeable. Nowhere near as good as the Dell XPS M1710 or E-1705. (from experience) Basically still carp. :D

Didn't like what loudness equalization did. I'm afraid it might kick in when someone talks loudly for a reason on Teamspeak and I'd miss something because of it.

I tried it and it worked to increase the overall volume of the speakers. Before that, I had trouble hearing anything in room with even a small amount of noise. Now I have to turn down the volume to about 40% to not get too loud.

But being that we don't have the nice Altec Lansing speakers on the HPs or the Harmon Kardons on the Toshibas with subwoofers, the 7805 will still sound tinny but adequate. I went out and got me a pair of Creative T20s and they are the best $89 I have spent. Creative bought up Cambridge Soundworks here in Boston and they make some pretty darn good speakers.

That's right bro. I bought the XPS for myself and the E1705 for my daughter. After playing with both and OCing the 7900GS in her lappy I would have just bought myself the E1705 if I knew how darn good those "7900GTS" (flashed with GTX bios) were. :D Keep in mind these laptops are over THREE YEARS OLD. And really the only thing I would like to change is the video cards. I still like my XPS M1710s "quality" better than my 7811s. But ya cant beat the performance of these 7811s with a stick.

Again not much more of an improvement but if on the bass boost you click settings you can set the level up to 12db increase and the roloer point. I went 12 db and to 250Hz. Still not perfect but any improvement is better than nothing
