Okay, I have been using Windows Vista 64bit and I was told that Win7 would be better for gamers, and I have watched some videos on YouTube saying that it is some what better. If yes how do I switch the OS's, would I need any drivers? Any help here?

Okay I have a couple of games too, here is a list:

    Borderlands
    Modern Warfare 2*
    WoW
Alot of Steam games (CS:S, Garry's Mod, etc.)*

Would it effect any of these, the ones with the stars are the most important

I'm "dual-booting" on my 7805, by partitioning the HD. (Could have done it by adding a second HD, too.)

This way you could test W7 for yourself without losing what you have.

    Just a suggestion.

Very true, but I don't really wanna buy another HD, also two OS's would take up alot of space especially vista. I'm downloading it now, so far it's pretty good, and the only thing I need to change was WindowBlinds.

You really shouldnt need to dual boot vista and W7... W7 is def the much more refined version and its worth it overall to just switch entirely... keep in mind that while you can "upgrade" your system... I highly recommend a clean install......... then all of your folders from before will be stored in a "Windows.old" folder to where you can still reach and copy all of your setting to where need be. Pretty much anything that worked in Vista will work in W7.... so what are you waiting for? Make the switch already haha

My two cents is go for it! I did a clean install of W7 Pro and had zero issues and have been very impressed. It was about the easiest install I have ever experienced. I was worried about it based on prior experiences, but was surprised.

    FWIW -

I agree that you can go for it - upgrade to W7.

I just mentioned the dual-boot option in case you were one of those folks that wanted to try it first.

My intentions are to keep Vista for a little while longer, than format over it once I'm not needing it any more.

    Good luck either way.

Holy Cow! Way better barely any lags on Optimized Settings. Also my Windows index score skyrocketed to 5.9, my graphics ratings are 6.7. But I think they just made the ratings range bigger. I highly recommend upgrading to anyone else, the only thing I need to fix is the themes. Any Suggestions, I used WindowsBlinds and VistaGlazz when I had Vista but I dont think it will work with Win7 testing soon.

They did, I think 7.9 is the limit now instead of 5.9. I have nothing but love for Win7, they managed to mitigate virtually everything that pissed me off in Vista while adding useful and worthwhile new features. MS really did a good job getting past the flop of Vista. It's so good I'm actually in the process of deleting my XP install on my desktop (only machine that still had it) and just using virtual XP on the off chance I need it for anything.

I just don't really like the giant taskbar it's quite annoying, but I use Rocketdock anyways so no worries about that. I have had major increases in FPS on most of my games now, and I am really glad that I upgraded.

Right click the taskbar and select the "Small Icons" selection and your taskbar will shrink to the "normal" and likeable size

Thanks, I got custom patched themes too, but some aren't as good and dont fit the proper colour scheme I like. But themes for Win7 are just starting so I gotta wait.

My specs are in my sig, or do you want to know what is my Windows Index Score?

    Update;
I found it on my P6860 App recovery disk "Hot Start Button"
