My l;aptop keeps dying on me and It just started happening today. I play Crysis 2. I over clocked my x9100 to 3.4 and almost instantly it died, so naturally i thought it was that. So I did it again with stock clocks, and granite it took a bit longer, it did it again. No BSOD, just a black screen and it shuts off. the last time, it just restarted. Should I increase the voltage of the cpu?.. The day I got crysis 2, I played for a couple hours and not one problem, though I wasn't in as much heavy battling as i am now.

sounds like overheat protection on the shutdowns and the restart could have been voltage for the heat provided it just collapsed under load.................

Edit; 1900 on the shaders and gpu 800 is too high, try the nvidia as 700/900/1750, this may help too

I have my gpu set up with your specs, but when it died.. it wasn't. I just haven't changed my signature yet. and the temps were perfectly normal. I even had my fan on it, and it was cool to the touch.

it could be your voltages are too low. you could try bumpimg them up.

If you are using Throttlestop write exactly what voltage and multiplier you are using. When I OC my cpu to 3.45 Ghz I use 1.30v and it reaches a peak of 85 degrees. If temps go above 90 your computer will autoshutdown.
