I recently bought a p7811FX system. I was lucky enough to get the 1920x1200 screen in mine (don't know if that has anything to do with the problem), and the 9800MGTS. For gaming the laptop is wonderful, I never has problems in game. The problems arise when I'm watching any type of video, be it a wmv, avi, mkv, or video on youtube or any other website and it dosnt matter what video player I'm using be it Windows media, VLC, Divx or media player classic. What happens sometime is the video will pause, the screen will go black and come back and say that that driver has stopped responding and something about kernel. Sometime when this happens the audio will get all "darth vader-ish" (don't know any other way to explain it) and other times the audio will start "clicking" and the laptop will freeze altogether and I have to hold the power button to shut it down. I've been doing some looking around and I think other people are having the same problems, but I havent found any solutions, if there is one. I've tried the latest nvidia drivers, some older ones, and most recently the Dox custom drivers, I'm still getting the problem. I'm running Win7 64bit at the moment but the problem also occurred when vista was installed. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?

    Thank you.

It is powermizer, I have the same problem. It downclocks your GPU so much, the video become choppy. Search for the "powermizer switch" here and turn powermizer off.
