    Hi,
I am thinking of an eSATA dock for my modified P79 and these are available with multiple drives with a USB3 interface as well. I have a USB 3 card and know most of those docs will show both drives in that interface. With our eSATA though is it multi drive capable? I don't care about RAID but would like to know I can transfer data within the docked drives.............

Edit; the forums search function is broken. I think this was covered a long time ago.................

I know that eSata is daisy chain-able. That is, you can attach another eSata drive to one already plugged into your computer. So you should be able to do what you want.

The multi deck ports usually specifiy having a multi drive capable eSATA. There was amother thread but I can't remember if ours was or wasn't. I think I rememeber RAID was not doable off the eSATA..............
