I just received a 320gb WD Black hdd as a gift and plan on installing it as a second hdd for my 7811. This is my first time doing this and I'm wondering what the best way to partition it is. Eventually I'd like to get a second one and set them up in raid 0, but that won't be for a little while. What is the best way to set up my two drives (200gb and 320gb) ?

I'd like to know that as well. I replaced my 5400 rpm OEM with the same WD drive as you. I intend to use the my original drive primarily as storage disc for my video library; and to store content when I use the computer as a DVR, but don't have a clue on how I need to partition it? I guess 50/50? Or should I go with the maximum three partitions right from the start?

Two partitions would be good enuf. For some its 3. I've made mine 35%-65%, with personal folder located on the second partition. Doing that saves you a lot of time in future if ever you need to do a clean install. Thats what i did for my stock HDD. For the Secondary HDD 50-50 would me more than enuf.
