    If you just mean just the cpu you can buy them from newegg or online places. I don't think frys electronics sells them if you're looking for retail stores.

    I have the p-6831 an I wanna swap the processor with a penryn but wherever I look for CPU they dont say penryn. Has anyone put one in a 6831?

    Look for Socket P that's the processors that will work in the P-6831FX system the T8100,T8300 and T9300 are Penryn processors also the T9500 and the Core 2 Extreme X9000. There are several posts on this forum of people who have swapped there processors for the Penryn processors.
