Who knows if it'll work, but it'd be nice to be able to put an extra 40-80GB into a two-SATA slot notebook. Not to mention the possibility of running two and using an Expresscard WLAN card.
And yeah, I know these aren't new, but they're decently priced.

It wont work on most notebooks, you need a sata controller to be connected to your miniPCIe slot:

Oh well. Saves me a costly experimentation, since these will likely only be sold on eBay.
Perhaps this could be something for our free mPCI-e slots?
